About the role: The Accelerator of Our Mission

As the Product Lead for Engineering Productivity at Tapestry, you will be the visionary yet hands-on leader for the internal platforms and tools that empower our own world-class engineers. You will be a force multiplier for the entire Tapestry team, accelerating our mission by creating a seamless, intelligent, and highly efficient development environment. Your role is to build the engine that enables our software and power systems experts to innovate faster, from pioneering the use of Agentic AI in our workflows to modernizing our CI/CD and build systems. Your mission is to remove all friction from the development process so our team can focus on what matters most: solving climate change through technology.

Responsibilities

Platform Strategy: Architect the technical product vision for the developer platform, ensuring it serves as a robust, scalable, and reliable foundation for all of Google's engineering teams.CI/CD and Build System Modernization: Define the strategy for inner-loop development and build systems, driving the transformation from hours to minutes for build and test cycles.Developer Experience & Tooling: Define developer personas and Jobs-to-Be-Done to focus investment on high-impact productivity problems. Create repeatable feedback loops and structured reporting models to prioritize the product roadmap.Agentic AI Strategy & Governance: Lead the company-wide strategy for adopting agentic AI in engineering workflows. Establish a framework for structured, outcome-driven AI experimentation, governance, and executive-level impact measurement.Platform Adoption & Measurement: Drive cross-organizational adoption of new platforms and tools, leading migration efforts from legacy systems and establishing clear metrics to track engagement, satisfaction, and workflow impact.Technical & Strategic Leadership: Lead complex technical and architectural trade-offs, balancing immediate engineering needs against long-term platform stability and innovation.

Who You Are:

  • An experienced product leader with deep technical experience in developer platforms and tools.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building products from zero to one in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deeply customer-oriented, committed to delivering tools that bring clarity and value to your fellow engineers.
  • Experienced in cross-disciplinary collaboration across software, AI/ML, and infrastructure domain experts.
  • Passionate about developer productivity and creating a world-class engineering experience.
  • A strong communicator who can represent the product vision and strategy to both engineering and executive audiences.
  • Thrive in high-ownership environments and have a proven track record of driving change in large organizations.

What you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of product management or equivalent engineering leadership experience.
  • Proven success in building, shipping, and scaling large-scale internal developer platforms.
  • Proven experience and technical fluency in developer productivity domains, including CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), build optimization, monorepos, and cloud development environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes).
  • Experience driving the strategy and adoption of agentic AI tooling and workflows for engineering teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000 - $282,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
