Tom leads X’s effort to develop and deploy wireless optical communications to areas of the world in need of internet access. Before joining X, he was instrumental in the development of the DOCSIS™ cable modem – a device used all worldwide to deliver high speed Internet access on cable networks. Tom was also the founder and CEO of WildBlue Communications, a satellite-based broadband service provider, and following its acquisition, served as a Senior Vice President at ViaSat. Today he serves on the Board at University of Colorado as an advisor to their Telecommunications Program.
