The Loon Collection
Overview
The Loon Collection is a compilation of lessons, data, and insights from nearly a decade of stratospheric exploration. It includes the The Loon Library and flight data from nearly 2,100 flights, including sensor data and electrical measurements, ranging from the first experiments in August 2011 to the final flight in May 2021. We hope these resources will inform and inspire future explorations in the skies and keep stratospheric research and innovation aloft.
The Loon Library
The Loon Library is a catalog of technical, operational, and scientific insights from Loon’s journey that details the lessons the team learned along the way — everything from systems engineering principles to flight vehicle and communications payload designs, operational processes and more.
