About the role
You’ll join the small, high-impact Tapestry People and Talent team as our first dedicated operations leader, responsible for building and scaling the infrastructure behind how we hire, onboard, and support our team.
This is a builder role. You won’t just run processes , you’ll design and improve them from the ground up.
You’ll partner closely across Talent, People Operations, and leadership to create scalable systems, workflows, and programs that enable Tapestry to grow efficiently while maintaining a high bar for candidate and employee experience.
This role will initially focus on Talent and People Operations, with scope evolving as we continue to define the long-term operating model across HR, systems, and programs.
What You’ll Do
Core Focus (Day 1 Priorities)
- Build and optimize onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience
- Partner with Talent to improve recruiting operations, including workflows, data accuracy, and candidate experience
- Manage and enhance systems such as Greenhouse and Workday to support both HR and Talent teams
- Establish scalable HROps processes that reduce friction and improve operational efficiency
Expanded Scope (As We Scale)
- Support global mobility efforts, including location strategy and international expansion
- Partner with HRBPs on compensation cycles, including offer processes and planning support
- Contribute to compliance-related processes such as immigration, background checks, and audits
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous process improvement across People and Talent functions
Our ideal candidate is a curious analyst, detail-oriented operator, and a natural process-improver. You enjoy learning and thrive in a small-team, fast-paced environment where priorities can shift daily. You have a passion for working the magic behind the scenes, navigating complex systems in large ecosystems like Alphabet, and can be resourceful and scrappy to find the solutions for employee queries or gaps in processes.
What you should have:
- 5+ years of experience with internal HR operations and processes at Google and/or other Alphabet organizations
- Passion for operational excellence and process improvements
- Direct experience working with core People/HR systems ( like Workday) and Applicant Tracking Systems ( like Greenhouse).
- Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous execution in managing time-sensitive operational tasks (e.g., transfers, compliance).
- A strong learning mindset and a proactive, curious approach to solving problems.

- Experience partnering with and presenting data-driven insights to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Proven experience designing, maintaining, and articulating processes and programs and how they tie to our business goals
- A deep, mission-driven passion for grid and energy, and building world-changing teams from the ground up.
- Experience working in high-growth or early-stage environments
- Experience supporting global teams or mobility programs

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $107,000 - $157,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
