About the team
Tapestry is Alphabet’s moonshot for the electric grid, working at the frontier where energy’s complexity meets AI’s potential. We were born at X, the innovation lab responsible for breakthrough technologies like Waymo, Verily and Google Brain.
To keep pace with humanity’s growing energy needs, the world needs a grid that is visible and understandable. We provide that clarity by building advanced, AI-enabled analytical and planning tools that allow the entire energy ecosystem to plan smarter, move faster, and operate more efficiently—ensuring electricity remains reliable and affordable for everyone.
This is a global effort. Tapestry is proud to support partners in the U.S., U.K., Chile, New Zealand, Australia and Brazil as they build a cleaner, more resilient energy future.
Joining Tapestry allows you to do the best work of your life as part of a multidisciplinary team of experts in AI, energy systems, software engineering and product design—all collaborating to reshape energy on a global scale. About the Role
Tapestry’s Business Operations team installs, supports, promotes the strong business practices we need to both grow and scale. We lead planning, reporting, and optimize Tapestry's operational rhythms. Additionally, we drive critical special projects across the company that advance Tapestry's strategic goals and execution.
In this role, you will wear multiple hats, you will own a strong library of materials, and take on analytical and operational initiatives. You will work closely with Tapestry’s executive team to scale our vision, messaging, and market analysis.
You are a world class visual and written communicator, a seasoned analyst, and an excellent program manager. You are passionate about using modern tools to scale processes and organizations to support growth and excellence. You are a strong teammate who can partner with any function to deliver value, always starting with intelligent and empathetic questions. You have experience in the world of electric grids and are passionate about solving its bottlenecks.
How You'll Make a 10X Impact

- Work with Tapestry’s communications team on internal and external-facing representations of company priorities, strategy, and impact.
- Support comprehensive market sizing, competitive and regulatory analyses, and value chain mapping for Tapestry's products.
- Manage complex and cross-functional projects end-to-end.
- Present findings to Tapestry teams and executives to inform and guide strategy.
- Work cross-functionally to scale Tapestry's systems, including research, communications, tracking and steering to priorities, and decision-making.
- Partner with Legal, Policy, Privacy, Marketing/PR, Operations, and other teams to mitigate non-technical risks for Tapestry.
What you should have:
- Previous experience in a role preparing meeting assets and collateral for senior leadership or a Board of Directors, ideally within a large-scale corporate environment.
- A strong track record in a relevant role within management consulting, corporate development, business operations, finance, investment banking, or a similar environment, including proven project management experience.
- Demonstrated track record as an end-to-end owner with the ability to drive multiple complex projects at all times.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in the electricity industry at a developer, grid operator, utility, consulting group, a growing start-up, or other grid ecosystem player.
- Demonstrated experience in communicating complex business and quantitative analyses. You can effectively translate "from spreadsheet to slidedeck" to present compelling insights to operational, financial, and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to build business models from the ground up, based on independently sourced research.
- A genuine passion for the energy space.
- A track record of participating in and building a strong culture of learning and experimentation.
It’d be great if you also had these:
- Understanding of software development processes.
- The ability to thrive in ambiguity, setting your own goals and effectively delivering in a rapidly changing environment.
- A knack for influencing without direct authority, collaborating effectively with technical and cross-functional teams outside your direct reporting line to achieve results.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment, leadership capabilities, and the ability to communicate persuasively with senior management.
- A fast learner with the capacity to quickly grasp a wide range of different technologies and industries.
- Strong attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills.
