About the Role
Tapestry’s Business Operations team installs, supports, promotes the strong business practices we need to both grow and scale. We lead planning, reporting, and optimize Tapestry's operational rhythms. We also tackle special projects across the company that advance Tapestry's strategic goals and execution.
In this role, you will wear multiple hats, owning various processes and driving operational improvement initiatives. You will work closely with Tapestry’s technical and other functional leaders to improve our operations, including onboarding and managing our extended workforce and stepping into our increasingly complex financial and legal operations.
You are an enthusiastic problem-solver, wanting to design new and enhance existing processes; scoping, designing, and implementing new and scalable solutions to support growth. You are an excellent team player and you can partner with any function and level to deliver value, always starting with intelligent and empathetic questions. You have experience with operations in a fast-growing organization and you are excited to be part of Tapestry’s mission to transform the electric grid.
How You'll Make a 10X Impact
- Improve, document, and own the process for onboarding and managing Tapestry’s extended workforce.
- Establish reporting and conduct regular audits on spend and other workforce performance metrics.
- Support Tapestry’s rapid growth with process improvements in procurement, contract management, financial operations, prioritization, and other critical path items.
- Partner with Legal, Policy, Privacy, Marketing/PR, Operations, and other teams to mitigate non-technical risks for Tapestry.
What you should have:
- 4+ years relevant experience, including:
- 2+ years in operations at a fast growing startup or team
- 2+ years with complex workforce operations and management (FTEs, temps, vendors, consultants, international)
- 2+ years of experience in operations or operational excellence at Google or another large company with strong requirements and entrenched systems
- Track record of helping functions improve operational metrics
- Track record of gracefully and securely handling confidential information
- Fluency in AI productivity tools and Google enterprise systems
- Strong attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills
- Track record of good vendor and cross-functional relationships
- A track record of participating in and building a strong culture of learning and experimentation
- Fluency in basic analytics
- A passion for the energy space
It’d be great if you also had these:
- Fluency in Google systems including Fieldglass, GUTS, and Accord
- Understanding of software development processes
- Experience with software technology procurement
- The ability to thrive in ambiguity, setting your own goals and effectively delivering in a rapidly changing environment.
- A knack for influencing without direct authority, collaborating effectively with technical and cross-functional teams outside your direct reporting line to achieve results.
- A fast learner with the capacity to quickly grasp a wide range of different technologies and industries.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $96,000 - $141,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
