About the role:
As a product designer, you will work closely with a talented cross functional team to design and build an exciting suite of innovative products that push the boundaries of user experience for the energy industry. You will collaborate with product, software engineers, research, industry and ML experts to help define the future for intuitive, enterprise-grade, and state-of-the-art AI toolings that empower stakeholders and radically transform the energy space.
How you will make 10X impact
- Spearhead the end-to-end design process, translating ambiguous problems and complex user needs into concrete, innovative solutions that define and drive the vision for AI-driven products.
- Collaborate with engineering, power systems, product, research, and other cross-functional teams to define product strategy, co-create solutions, and ensure the high-quality implementation of intuitive user experiences.
- Champion user needs through continuous research, testing, and iteration, and advocating for user-centric approaches.
- Drive design coherence and elevate quality by establishing, maintaining, and evolving our comprehensive design system to optimize development and ensure consistency across all products.
- Own design deliverables from concept to launch, balance product requirements, technical constraints, and stakeholder needs, ensuring the delivery of intuitive and effective designs in a fast-paced environment.
What you should have:
- 5+ years of product design experience with a compelling portfolio showcasing your work on shipped enterprise products, particularly those involving complex workflows or data visualization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end design for large, complex products in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, with a strong aptitude for navigating complexity and translating user needs into clear, actionable, and creative solutions.
- Deep expertise in interaction design, visual design, and user experience principles, consistently upholding a high bar for quality and craftsmanship
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale, present work compellingly to diverse audiences (including cross-functional teams and stakeholders), and effectively advocate for the user.
- A proactive, builder mindset with a desire to influence the design process and culture.
- Experience conducting user interviews and usability testing to gather user feedback and insights.
- Experience designing features that leverage AI capabilities.
It’d be great if you also had these:
- Experience with enterprise software development in the energy sector
- Strong technical knowledge (front end web applications)
- Motion design and prototyping skills
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $151,000 - $235,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
