About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Investments Project Manager. This person will drive our investment process, conduct due diligence, negotiate deals and oversee spin outs and graduations. This role requires a deep understanding of deep tech, exceptional project management skills, a proven track record in M&A transactions, and experience with spin-outs and investor relations.
How you will make 10x impact:
- Deal Execution:
- Work with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial, legal, technical, and operational analysis.
- Formulate and help negotiate deal terms and structure with target companies.
- Spin-outs and Divestitures:
- Lead the process of spinning out new ventures from the company, including developing business plans, securing funding, and establishing independent operations.
- Manage all aspects of the spin-out process, from initial concept to successful launch.
- Investor Relations:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors and potential investors.
- Communicate effectively with investors regarding M&A transactions and spin-outs.
- Manage investor due diligence requests and provide timely and accurate information.
- Market Analysis & Strategy:
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify strategic opportunities
- Develop and maintain an M&A pipeline and proactively source new opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of the company's overall M&A strategy.
- Other:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investment bankers, lawyers, and other external advisors.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in M&A and spin-outs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
What you should have:
- 10+ years of experience in M&A project management, with a focus on deep tech or a related field.
- Proven experience managing and executing investments, acquisitions, and spin-outs.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field.
- Exceptional project management skills with a proven track record of successful deal execution and spin-out launches.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling & presentation skills.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong understanding of deep tech and emerging technologies.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
It would be great if you also had these:
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred.
- Experience with deep tech early stage projects and/or climate initiatives.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000 - $318,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
