About the team

Taara is X’s project to expand global access to fast, affordable internet with beams of light.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GTM) function ensures we are getting out in the real world, learning and discovering how we can deliver value to the customer. This involves running a series of experiments, testing and iterating till we find the perfect product market fit. 

About the role

The role is based in Mountain View but is likely to involve global travel, as Taara is deploying its technology in various regions around the world. You will be starting out by creating and executing Taara go-to-market plan that will help discover/learn the fit in the market and eventually help grow it. This is a unique opportunity to build an incredible plan towards connecting the world using beams of light. 

How you will make 10x impact:

  • Design, execute and improve plans for Taara’s go-to-market workstream
  • Enhance the positioning and messaging for existing and new products by understanding demand drivers, competition, researching market trends, and aggregating the needs of ISPs and Telcos. 
  • Formalize and expand upon customer insights and market research, in partnership with the product and business teams.
  • Define the value proposition for the target markets, set the pricing, and device the channel strategy

What you should have:

  • Proven track record of execution and ability to drive growth through early stages in a non-standard, experimental and iterative way to find product market fit and communicating that in a compelling way in a corporate environment
  • Bachelor's degree and extensive experience from a management consulting firm and/or a complex strategic commercial role 
  • Possesses strong business acumen and operates with integrity with success in mentoring and developing cross-functional collaborative teams
  • Analytical thinker with creative problem solving; influences senior stakeholders to drive change

It'd be great if you also had these:

  • MBA or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience leading regional or global teams
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with experience interacting with senior-level executives
  • Ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, high energy, constantly evolving, team environment
  • Extensive experience buying or selling telecommunications infrastructure and/or technology in deals directly involving mobile carriers or similar 
  • Familiarity with valuation and pricing of broadband infrastructure roll-out projects

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $205,000 - $304,000 bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
