DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP YOU CAN EXPECT:

DETAILS:

  • Laptops and equipment will be provided
  • Duration: a flexible 3 months to 6 months program based on project team needs and your availability

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a PhD program and working towards completing your PhD degree

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Computer vision model development: Data curation, training, and validation of new computer vision models
  • Working closely with team mentors to monitor, diagnose and improve existing perception models
  • Participate in sprint cycle alongside teammates

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Enthusiasm for learning about ocean health and having an impact in the ocean economy!
  • Current PhD student with experience in applying deep learning computer vision on real use cases end to end (everything from data ingestion to model validation and deployment).
  • Fluency with python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or Jax. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with object detection and keypoint models.
  • Depth estimation: experience with monocular and/or stereo depth estimation
  • Experience with structure from motion and optical flow algorithms

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $114,000 - $134,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
