What You’ll be Working on

  • Implementing new machine learning algorithms for medical imaging
  • Prototyping machine learning pipeline solutions
  • Work closely with team members in the sensing and simulation space
  • Understanding the challenges and brainstorming solutions to those challenges
  • Engaging with the intern community during the program, engaging with the X community, attending colloquia and tech talks

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program in a STEM field such as CS, Engineering, or Mathematics/Statistics with a strong background and interest in machine learning and computer vision.
  • Familiar with modern machine learning algorithms (Transformers, NeRFs, etc), especially computer vision models. Experience with coding those models in TensorFlow is preferred.
  • Experience with large data processing & training.
  • Experience with handling dirty and noisy data.
  • Strong coding skills, experience with one or more general purpose programming languages such as Python, C++, etc.
  • Strong interest in rapid prototyping and physical experimentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with medical imaging, especially ultrasound
  • Experience with sensor fusion combining multiple data sources from stereo camera, depth sensor, LiDAR, etc.

The US base salary range for this position is $114,000 - $134,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
