DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP YOU CAN EXPECT:

DETAILS:

  • Location: Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv District, Israel
  • Start Date(s): Year-round rolling basis
  • Duration: a flexible 4 mo. to 1 year program based on project team needs and your availability

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON:

  • Collaborating with the X Project team to analyze genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics data to the project's mission
    • Understanding the project’s challenges
    • Analyzing the experimental data and comparing it to computation predictions 
    • Prototyping solutions
    • Replicate algorithms in published literature 
    • Compare published to new experimental results.
  • Learning Moonshot thinking, attending colloquium and tech talks.
  • Engaging with the iXrael moonshot laboratory
  • Having fun while thinking outside the box!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program in a STEM field with strong relation to life-science and computer science.
  • Previous experience processing large datasets of genomics, transcriptomics and proteomic 
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages with strong preference to Python.
  • Previous experience in coding biology related analysis. 
  • Completed mandatory coursework.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrate relevant skills and/or publications in relevant conferences and journals.
  • Demonstrated strong coding skills (e.g., Github projects)
