People Operations Data and Process Analyst, X

People Operations

Mountain View, CA (HQ)

Team:

As the X People Operations team (POps), it’s our mission to Attract, Accelerate, and Launch these moonshots into the real world. Due to the smaller size of our organization and the rapid pace of change, every Xer plays a critical role in the success of these moonshots. The X POps team not only executes programs and operations that accelerate the business, but we also are trusted thought partners to help make business-critical decisions.

Role:

The X-POps team is looking for a Data and Process Analyst who will be responsible for converting and connecting all our disparate databases into a seamless story that our X-POps team can use to optimize programs and processes, derive insights, and inform critical decisions. When not building and maintaining this data architecture, this Analyst will be responsible for the execution and continuous improvement of X’s people programs and operations.

We are a small team, so you will have end-to-end exposure of what it takes to run a People Operations function at a company that moves at lightspeed and you’ll have the autonomy to make decisions that accelerate the business. We're looking for a colleague who is excited about running experiments and using data to build a connected, creative, and efficient approach to people programs. This will require you to think tactically about how data is organized, combined, and shared in order to generate new, innovative insights. You are scrappy and resourceful, creative and driven -- and excited to share in the magic of working at X.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain our POps data architecture (strategy through execution)
  • Bring meaningful data to the forefront of decision making through the design of intuitive, repeatable, and easy to use reporting solutions (e.g., dashboards)
  • Strategically design, manage and relentlessly improve existing processes for a constantly changing landscape focused on accelerating and launching moonshots
  • Provide top quality user experience for our Xers
  • Report on and analyze POps data to equip our POps team with the information they need to strategically advise their clients

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience using quantitative and qualitative analytical strategies to measure the effectiveness of programs and interventions
  • 3 years experience working with multiple data sources and combining relevant information to generate insights from analyses; creating effective reporting solutions using SQL (e.g., dashboards, tables, metrics)
  • Ability to think critically to solve complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in improving and identifying issues in processes, suggesting user-focused improvements, and navigating/influencing cross-functional teams to drive these changes
  • Strong interest in analyzing data and generating actionable insights to inform our People strategy and influence decision making
  • High level of self-initiative, creativity, perseverance and flexibility
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service with a welcoming and helpful attitude

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

Because we do business with the government, we must reach out to, hire, and provide equal opportunity to qualified people with disabilities1. To help us measure how well we are doing, we are asking you to tell us if you have a disability or if you ever had a disability. Completing this form is voluntary, but we hope that you will choose to fill it out. If you are applying for a job, any answer you give will be kept private and will not be used against you in any way.

If you already work for us, your answer will not be used against you in any way. Because a person may become disabled at any time, we are required to ask all of our employees to update their information every five years. You may voluntarily self-identify as having a disability on this form without fear of any punishment because you did not identify as having a disability earlier.

How do I know if I have a disability?
