About Wing:

Wing is reshaping the future of delivery. We are an on-demand drone delivery service that can deliver food, medicine or other items within minutes. We’ve also developed an unmanned traffic management platform--a kind of air traffic control for unmanned aircraft--to safely route drones through the sky. Our service is faster, safer and produces far less pollution than traditional delivery. Originally created in 2012 within X, the Moonshot Factory, Wing is now an Alphabet company.

About the Role:

The FP&A Manager will manage Wing’s resource allocation, short and long term financial projections, business analysis and required returns on investments. You will play a strategic role in Wing, interfacing with functions leads, Wing leadership as well as Alphabet Finance leadership. You’re a good fit for this position if you can provide FP&A leadership, top tier business analysis, drive data based decisions and can work well cross functionally.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage all aspects of budgeting and forecasting for Wing, including creating annual plan and updating financial projections monthly
  • Approve all spend and contracts on Wing; determine and hold teams accountable to spend thresholds to ensure efficient allocation of resources across team
  • Build and maintain 5-yr plan, including leading plan alignment meetings with M&A Finance, Alphabet leadership, and the Wing board
  • Establish success metrics and milestones; determine appropriate capital allocation and budgeting
  • Regularly update Wing leadership on the state of Wing’s business, including key operational and technical metrics
  • Own all executive-level Wing reporting, including financial, operational, safety, technical, policy / regulatory, and other parts of the company
  • Review, analysis, and reporting of all corporate cost centers

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 9 years of relevant experience in finance, management consulting, corporate strategy or similar environment, including FP&A and project management experience.
  • Experience working with analytical, quantitative, and computer desktop platforms

  • Superior business partnering skills incl. the ability to build senior level relationships, trust and get things done across functional boundaries. Ability to be a trusted translator between product & finance leadership
  • Organized, strategically focused, detail oriented, self-starter
  • Financial modeling skills, understanding trends, developing insights, turning them into strategies with high impact
  • Proven financial planning, systems, budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate with highly technical management team.
  • Exemplary oral and writing communication skills with a demonstrated track record of effectively partnering with technical, business, and operations colleagues.
  • Team player; willing to help out other team members as necessary while promoting positive morale
  • Knowledge of Alphabet finance systems including Hyperion, PIVT, and SIMBA
