Mountain View, CA (HQ)
Our mission at X is to invent and launch “moonshot” technologies that we hope could someday make the world a radically better place. We're also trying to build a moonshot factory: a place with processes and culture that systematizes innovation and repeatedly delivers real impact to the world. Our projects start small, but have the potential to grow into stand-alone “bets” within the Alphabet family of companies. This position will support one of our promising projects.
As the Administrative Business Partner to a Project Lead, you're the heart of The Project's operations and activities, and the soul that keeps it moving forward. You anticipate the needs of the Lead and team members and help them stay focused on their projects by resolving operational and administrative issues before they arise. You move quickly with the changing environment and are up-to-date on X’s, the Project’s, and their partners’ activities.
In addition to being organized and analytical, you are a team player and possess strong business judgment and communication skills needed to interact with a variety of people and job functions tactfully and gracefully. You are a cultural liaison and keep the pulse of the team, helping to create a positive and healthy work environment.
About X, the moonshot factory
X creates radical new technologies to solve some of the world’s biggest problems. We develop uncomfortably ambitious, potentially world-changing new ideas such as self-driving cars, balloon-powered Internet and smart contact lenses. We’re a team of makers, entrepreneurs, engineers, designers and scientists with deep technical expertise who love the challenge of the seemingly impossible. X was formerly known as Google[x] and is part of Alphabet.
At X, we don't just accept difference - we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products and our community. We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status.
