Anori Breaks New Ground
X’s moonshot for building and development is now an independent company
Last fall, we unveiled Anori as a moonshot for the built environment. Today, we are officially an independent company, backed by a funding round led by Prologis, Builders VC, and Series X Capital. Sorenson Impact Group and Telescopic Ventures also participated in the round, with additional partnerships from Gensler and SERA Architects.
The Problem: A System in Gridlock
The world is facing a housing crisis, yet the path to construction is stalled by a fragmented "sequential" workflow. Architects, engineers, and city planners work in silos, passing plans back and forth like a game of telephone. A single zoning conflict six months into a project can send everyone back to square one, causing costs to spiral and housing to remain unbuilt. Part of the challenge is the absence of a common collaborative platform that bridges the gap between creative design and the logistic realities of building and construction.
The Radical Solution: Unified Development
Anori is designing a new AI platform to untangle this complexity. We’re developing a shared hub to help real estate developers, the architecture and construction industries, and cities work together more easily on new building projects.
By pulling critical constraints—zoning, building codes, and material costs—to the very beginning of the process, our technology will allow teams to:
-
Solve for Compliance Upfront: Instantly parse dense zoning laws and geospatial factors.
-
Collaborate in Real-Time: End the slow hand-off between domain experts.
-
Break Ground Faster: Reduce pre-development timelines from years to months.
A Global Vision
The need for smarter development is urgent. We are already partnering with the City of Rio de Janeiro to help transform their urban licensing process and meet accelerating housing demand.
The backing of industry giants like Prologis and teams like Builders who understand this space better than anyone will help ensure Anori’s platform is designed to address the industry’s most stubborn challenges.
Build With Us
Anori is growing. We are looking for "practical dreamers" to help us reimagine how cities are built. If you believe the built world is overdue for a transformation, view our open roles and join us.
